Microsoft flight simulator ai

They needed a way to let you believably fly anywhere on the planet, with true-to-life topography and 3D models for almost everything you see, something that's especially difficult in dense cities. A task like that would be practically impossible to accomplish by hand.

But it's the sort of large-scale data processing that Microsoft's Azure AI was built for. The company was able to push 2. You could say it's really the cloud that brings the game to life. Azure also helps to model real-time weather. That's how some players were able to chase recent hurricanes.

The franchise's hardcore fans were eager to more realism in a new title, according to Jorg Neumann, Microsoft's head of Flight Simulator. Specifically, they asked for visual flight rules VFR. So that was the mission. After a bit of investigation, Neumann realized that Bing Maps' data set essentially covered the entire planet.

The only problem? It was all in 2D. After using some of that data to build a flyable 3D version of Seattle, Neumann turned to the Azure team to craft a machine learning method for converting the entire planet into a giant 3D model. Once you have done that, the AI will take care of everything for you, including communicating with ATC, taking off, following your flight plan we also have a guide on how to create one to your destination, and landing. Do keep in mind that your co-pilot has some limitations, so it may be a good idea to monitor what the AI is doing.

It will also consume quite a bit more fuel than a good pilot would. Microsoft Flight Simulator is already available for Windows 10 and Steam. An Xbox version is also planned for the future but has no release date for the moment. The default navigation data in MSFS is full of errors and omissions.. I accept that the basic is probably OK - and you're paying for extra functionality. No need to resort to insults. I have my own whine list that stretches around the corner or even further, trust me.

He's been complaining about the same thing numerous times a week, when it was publicly announced that the AI will likely not get addressed until now. I get it, the level of frustration runs high for a lot of folks, but take it on a chin and move on with your life, or at least whine about something else, heh. Additionally, the default navdata, while not totally perfect, is actually several orders of magnitude more accurate than anything that has been previously delivered in a sim for no cost, and is actually quite accurate in general, if you look across the whole breadth of the navdata.

Back on topic…. I decided to try out the new JU Taxied to the ramp and guess what…. I suppose some might call that progress. That's one of the reasons I hate installing stuff via Marketplace - it makes it very difficult to edit the aircraft. I use [the amazing] Addon Linker to organise my fleet - and have set it up to display only liveries for particular areas, then military or civil. Sadly, a few well-known developers insist on installing their products in "Community" by default, so you can't control which liveries appear where.

It can usually be achieved by copying the lot to your external folder and linking from there but, again, you'll lose your edits each time the product gets an update.

I have modified the types. I use the Mega Pack ac set but only the ones that display normally normal textures when approaching them. Otherwise I delete that ac. This is the best I can get at the moment till Asobo has fixed the AI ac somewhere in …. Do you have a tuto on how to do that pls? I've shown you that there is plenty of traffic in MSFS in another topic when you called the skies "empty". You need a couple of free addons there are even a few alternatives to improve it right now, but that's it.

I agree default MSFS needs improvement but continuous whining will not achieve this. If I were a developer it would rather discourage me. Intel iK 4. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community.
